Titoss's papa is the guardian of an enormous golden treasure. Life is simple on this small, remote island: Papa tries to sleep, and Titoss amuses himself by telling Papa jokes. Until the day that a pirate ship heaves in view... sinister-looking pirates, under the command of a little girl who is very sure of what she's after. What follows is a succession of brawls, betrayals, pranks and misunderstandings, all of which wind up with the treasure remaining in Papa's care, the sinister sailors taking flight, and Titoss and Ilda becoming friends for life...
